Group Training
About Our Group Sessions
Our Group Sessions have been canceled due to a lack of enrollment. This will be revisited again in the future.
We will be offering Basic Obedience Training and AKC Canine Good Citizen Training. Basic Obedience Training will be held at 10:30 am every Sunday. Advanced Obedience Training will be held at 12:00 pm every Sunday.
Basic Obedience Group Sessions include:
- Sit
- Down
- Stand
- Come
- Leave it
- Stay
- Wait
- Paws on the Ground
- Line up
- Touch
- Heel
- Plus the added benefit of socialization
Advanced Obedience Group Sessions include:
- All Behaviors from Basic but with more Distractions, Duration, and Distance
- We will begin to introduce CGC items
- Techniques for correcting troubled behaviors
- Plus the added benefit of socialization
- New Behaviors include:
- Advanced Heel
- Greeting Others
- Stay, Leave it, Come Combination
AKC Canine Good Citizen Group Sessions include:
A dog that completes this course will be a pleasure to have as a member of your family and be well-behaved around people and dogs while being a respected member of the community.
The 10 items on the test include:
- Accepting a friendly stranger
- Sitting politely for petting
- Appearance and grooming
- Out for a walk
- Walking through a crowd
- Sit and down on cue/stay in place
- Coming when called
- Reaction to other dogs
- Reaction to distractions
- Supervised separation
